We are on our fourth antibiotic for Isaac's ear infection. I made another trip to the ENT (Dr Gerber. How great a name is that for our baby's ENT) this week since it appeared to be resurfacing and, low and behold, little man will need surgery to put tubes in his ears. We have to schedule that within the next couple of weeks and let's pray that it improves his health, happiness, appetite, and sleep patterns. Coupled with the 104.3 fever the other night, it's been quite the week.
I'm finally getting around to posting Easter pictures. Sorry for the delay... we've been a little preoccupied. I haven't even thought about what we'll do (or if we'll do something) for his 1 year birthday. He was 16 pounds 5 ounces a couple of weeks ago, but he feels a little lighter after this last sickness. We are grateful to Cheryl for providing a little relief today so that I could actually get some work accomplished during this work week. AND to top it off, she made us dinner. Can she just come live with us?
Mara enjoyed the daycare Easter egg hunt. They don't really limit the kids to how many eggs they can grab, so Zack's out there coaching - run that way! Oh there's one, grab that one!
This Easter Bunny has a very pitiful tail...
Maybe Arson got a hold of it.
Here was her face when the Easter Bunny (who she knew to be Ms. Ashley, the daycare assistant director) asked for a hug.
Me and my mini-me.
Mara and one of her friends, Bristol, sharing eggs.
Yes... the costume is kind of creepy.
Alexis, Bristol, Amara, Daddy. Alexis is 4 days older than Mara so they transition to the next classrooms together.
Checking out the booty.
Mara's friend Jasmine, who always wears flowers in her hair.
We spent Easter weekend at Holden Beach with Cherry and Grahampa. We had a wonderful time and were able to check out the beach several days. Mara practiced riding her bike, and of course we had to dye eggs!
By the time we were finished, a lot of the eggs were cracked... but we had a great time. She enjoyed mixing the eggs amongst the different colors. We had several poop brown eggs. At least I hope they were eggs and not Isaac's contributions.
She was such a great helper and very careful with the dying process.
Little boy is up to some naughty things...
Yeah, we were watching you. And had to relocate those cords!
Oh, if I didn't mention it, he's crawling.
And signs milk when he sees me. And can say "Ah dah" (all done.)
The Easter Bunny found us in Holden - thank goodness Mommy and Daddy emailed or texted him beforehand. The bun bun didn't hide the baskets this year - perhaps that tradition will begin next Easter.
Mara told me after this picture was taken - "But I didn't hear the Easter Bunny come in the house!" We told her that he was very quiet.
Give a man a golf ball and the promise of food and he's content. Oops, I guess this is a plastic egg. whatever!
There was a little chill in the air when it came time for finding all the eggs. The Graham-bunbun did a stellar job hiding all the eggs!
That's a candy necklace. That is still uneaten.
Look how happy she is!
On the hunt!
We all had to help find eggs. The Graham-bunbun was quite the overachieving hider.
Isaac just wanted to crawl around.
And check out his sister's stuff. There were coins in a lot of the plastic eggs - Easter bunny drained his bank account I guess. That, or we have a kid that doesn't eat much candy. They had an ice cream social at her daycare and she decorated her ice cream with alllllll the toppings. And then didn't eat it. Because she doesn't like ice cream. SIGH.
But give her pound cake or cinnamon toast and she's set for life.
I will be taking Isaac's 11 month photos this weekend. And sleeping. And sleeping, and ..zzzzzzzzzzzz.

You make me feel better that your posts are a little behind. Truth is, who cares?? Right?? We just love looking at our kids, other people's kids, and everyone loves reading your hilarious posts. Although the sickness part is not so funny. Here's to everyone at the Darden house feeling better soon!
